Free Laundry Stain Remover

I don't know about you, but it seems like I am always coming up with some impossible stains in my laundry. I guess that with kids, I should expect it. Anyway, ordinary detergent alone doesn't always get them out, and you can't always add bleach. I often use the detergents with the bleach alternatives added, but even those don't get a lot of the stains out.

I was looking for a better answer, and although I don't know whether or not this will work any better, I have sent away for my free sample of BIZ laundry stain remover. According to the website, you just add it to your washer along with your regular detergent, and your clothes come out clean. Like everything else, we will have to wait and see, but with a free sample you can't go wrong. Why not send for yours and find out for yourself?

I found an interesting website today that shares recipes and directions for making your own homemade soap. Elaine White, author of the "Soap Recipes" book has decided to share some of her free soap making recipes with us.

Although I will probably still buy the ready made melt and pour soap ingredients to pour into molds, I thought that it might be interesting to learn how to make my own soap from scratch by following a recipe too. In any case, I thought that Elaine White's free soap making recipes & directions: how to make soap was a pretty good find, and hoped that it might be of interest to others as well.

I have a free account at fitday.com where you can keep track of several things including the foods you eat, your daily activities, your weight, your goals, and more.

You select the foods you eat from their extensive lists, and add them to your list of foods eaten for the day. The calories are added up, along with some of the other nutrients. If your food isn't listed, you can add it to the list as a custom food using the nutrition information from the label.

You also choose the activity you are doing and add it to your activities for the day. If my activity isn't listed I just pick something as close as I can from the list so that the calories burned are about the same. It will add it all up for you and let you know how many calories you burned, how many you have eaten, and how everything compares. It even graphs things out for you so you can watch your weight go down (hopefully) over time.
