This is a great free service that allows you to have a private message service so that you don't have to give your telephone number out. I use this telephone number when completing offers, and it saves me the hassle of having my number added to all of the telemarketing lists.
I learned from previous experience that passing out your telephone number when filling out online forms is a surefire way to attract the telemarketers. Many places won't send you their offers at all if they can't verify your telephone number. With Privatephone you can record your own greeting, and check your messages online or by telephone. You can even get voice mail alerts in your email or on your cell phone. It really couldn't be much simpler.
NetZero will be discontinuing this service in December 2007 and are not accepting any new signups. I am looking at some alternate services and will be posting more soon...

There are a lot of great uses for this service. Like I said, I found that it was a handy one to use for all of the free offers that I fill out so that I don't get all of the telemarketers calling me all of the time, but it would also work great as a message service for your business or any other such purpose. I like the idea about handing it out to the sister in law too. I can think of a few people that I might want to hand it out to.
This service will be discontinued next month... I am looking into the alternatives and will be posting more information soon.
